Motiv expands LTE network in Yekaterinburg

Russian regional mobile operator Motiv has launched LTE services in the city of Kamensk-Uralskiy in the Yekaterinburg region, Telecompaper.com writes on Dec 9, 2014. LTE services from the operator are presently accessible in the cities and towns of Yekaterinburg, Aramil. Verkhnyaya-Pyshma, Berezovskiy, Sredneuralsk, Nizhniy-Tagil, Lesnoy, Nizhnyaya-Tura, Asbest, as well as in other agglomerations in the Kurgan, Yugra and Yamal-Nenets regions. The operator aims to cover 80 percent of the population with LTE services by the end of 2015. Motiv has also launched GSM services in the Chkalovskaya station of the Yekaterinburg Metro. At the moment, GSM services from the operator are available in all metro stations in the city, except for the Botanicheskaya station, which will get covered later this year. All stations will get LTE coverage in 2015.
